PUMA
Junior social media marketing manager
I have been the social media manager for @PUMA.UK for just over a year across both Instagram and TikTok platforms, both accounts have seen considerable growth within that time, creating a social strategy which focuses on nuanced content tailored to each platform specifically and building a community with hyperlocalised content.

Coming into PUMA I wanted to implement a social strategy which saw us start to prioritise higher production/quality videos on instagram whilst we do still upload the occasional lo-fi the focus was to see Instagram as our shop window where we highlight our best in class moments from our events, kit launches and ambassadors. This strategy has seen us gain almost 60,000 followers in just over a year.
Similarly to Instagram we also implement a TikTok strategy we focused on lo-fi content content staying true to the self shot nature of the platform. We wanted to create a distinction between both platforms focusing on the nuances between what makes content great on Instagram vs TikTok, we used TikTok to showcase more personality the fun side of our ambassadors, the influencers we work with and a behind the scenes of what we get up to as a brand.
We also implemented a community strategy, most users go straight to the comments on TikTok and the comments can be just as if not more interesting and funnier than the video itself, commenting on other creators videos as well as our own using terms, phrases, stickers and memes that people who are “chronically online” would say giving the brand a sense of relatability to build a community.
